![]() ![]() I hope y’all enjoyed this quick makeover! I recently shared another lamp that I used darker wax on to play up the pretty details: You can see more on how easy it is to add stripes with no math HERE. Then go back and remove the second piece and continue to use that piece as a guide for the rest. Add a strip of tape at the bottom, then another right next to that one, then a third. The stripes are easy to add if you use your tape as a guide. They looked so pretty in my living room that I was tempted to keep them! I dropped them off at my booth on Saturday though.Īnother close up of how the wax plays up the details… How did we get off track…let’s get back to those lamps! I mean, I was just showing how my hubby was doing some demo for me. This photo was a fan favorite from that project… If you’re new around here and have never seen our kitchen, that was a TOTAL DIY job and you can see the big reveal that includes all the projects we did HERE! This shot is from behind our kitchen island… Here you can see how the white wax is nestled perfectly in all those details… I have them priced at $39 each in my booth. That made these lamps about $17 each for what I had to buy. The classic shape of this table lamp showcases the outstanding travertine marble body with a hint of silver and an acrylic base. They were the perfect size and color for these lamps! Best Overall: Joss & Main Daylen 31 Table Lamp Set Weve served satisfied lodge owners, cabin owners and homeowners across the U Limited Stocks. I found the shades at HomeGoods back in the Fall for $9.99 each and bought them to have on hand since I redo a lot of smaller lamps. Well, that was one of them, but of course I did both to match… The wax is a topcoat, so there is no need to seal after with anything else. I used a clean soft cloth to remove the excess wax and buff it to a soft sheen. Using a wax brush to apply the wax on detailed pieces like this really helps to get it in all those grooves. I have been having a lot of fun with waxes lately, and to play up the details on this lamp, I decided to add some white wax: I gave them two coats of Cotton and pulled the tape off right after applying the second coat, while the paint was still wet: Then, to have fun with the spindly parts, I decided to use my FrogTape to add stripes! I started by giving both lamps two coats of a mix of 50% Dixie Belle’s Cotton and 50% Driftwood. I’ve included a few affiliate links so you can find the products I love. And, I loved that there was a pair of them! #Buffet lamps fullThat’s a bit pricey to me for these skinny lamps, but I had a full punch card that gave me 20% off my purchase that day, so I ended up getting them for $6.60 a piece before tax. I found these buffet lamps at the thrift store priced at $8.25 each: Hello dear friends! Welcome back! Today I have a fun little makeover for you. ![]()
